FOURTH-GENERATION ALBERTA FARM • EST. 1917

Quality material
with a story.

Genuine historic barnwood, old-growth lumber and one-of-a-kind timbers — reclaimed directly from our family farm.

THE STORY

More than reclaimed wood.

Fourth-Field Reclamations began while restoring and dismantling historic buildings across our Alberta family farm, established in 1917.

Many boards were milled from slow-grown Douglas fir and spent generations as barns, corrals, grain structures and working farm fixtures. Rather than see that material buried or burned, we recover it carefully and prepare it for its next life.

PREPARED WITH CARE

Preserving the history.
Making it easier to use.

We preserve genuine character while preparing reclaimed material for its next project.

01

De-nailed

Fasteners removed; embedded metal is disclosed where known.

02

Metal detected

Boards are scanned numerous times before delivery to reduce risk to blades and tooling.

03

Moisture checked

Typical prepared stock measures approximately 5–10% moisture.

04

Patina preserved

Faces are brushed and vacuumed; pressure washing is avoided where it would strip character.

05

Heat treated

Lumber is heat-treated to a minimum 56°C core temperature for at least 30 continuous minutes. Digital treatment documentation is available. Currently limited to 10 ft lengths.
